1. I am sick and tired of every player saying “its still early in the season”. Hello, ITS NOT! The Raptors have already blown the first 1/3 of their season, and its all uphill from here. You are on a 6 game road trip. Last time I checked…those arn’t easy. Last time I checked….we had a pretty bad road trip last time.
2. Finally, Bosh is stepping up. The guy had 22 points, 16 rebounds, and got to the free throw line 14 times. I think he is finally really frustrated with this team, to call out his team mates. He yelled at Roko, called out Moon, and demanded the ball. Like most scouts say, he should get at least one touch every time on offence. He’s trying, but it seems like the rest of the Raptors are just not seeing him as an option.
3. Be mad, get angry, show some urgency. I think the smartest guy on the team is Jermaine O’neal….He seems like the only player who shows some energy, and is the only one who see’s just how bad the Raptors are right now. We currently have one of the most inept teams at showing some physical toughness, and elect to just let the other teams shoot the ball. Here’s something you guys should learn….you need to shoot the ball to score. If you let teams shoot open looks, they will score.
4. With every fan demanding trades, I dont think you should blow up the team. There are trades to be made (lots of em). but I think if you keep the current core group of players (Bargnani, Bosh, and O’Neal) we could get something going. If you keen readers have seen, I have left out Jose Calederon. As much as people like the guy, there has definitely been a decline in his game. Stats are evident, but off the court, he just doesnt seem to have that spark like he did last season. He shoots way too much, and doesnt drive to the basket enough. If there is a decent trade out there (Nash), Id at least consider it
5. This last statement will discredit my whole blog, but…..give some minutes to Voshkul. Who knows what he will produce for this team. Maybe a couple rebounds here and there. Put him ahead of K-Hump (6 minutes without a rebound…..) For pete sakes, Roko played one minute more then him, and pulled down 2 rebounds!!!!

The Raptors are quickly turning into one of the worst teams in the league, and the symptoms are becoming ever more apparent.

The problems can be traced to when Bryan Colangelo was inserted as GM and President and inherited Sam Mitchell. As made evident in news outlets in Toronto, they had to have differences in how to play basketball. Smitch obviously won the battle, saying he wanted a slow, set offense. Colangelo wanted to bring a more Suns, uptempo game. And who can blame him? It worked wonders in Phoenix. But, Colangelo gave in, drafted Bargnani (who is not a bad player, despite what most people think). I think that the players on the court are not made to run. Triano wants them to run, and I think they should, but this is gonna take a while.

The big problem is utilization of personell. I dont think its Triano’s fault, but I think its the differences in philosphies of Colangelo and Smitch. I think Bargnani has had a bit of an identity problem the last couple years. We all know Bargs had an great rookie year as a PF. But Mitchell said, “Well, he can play PF, lets start using him as a C and a SF”. I personally dont know many players who can be successful and play all big men positions. Bargs needs to be told what his role, position is on the team. Simple as that. Stop moving him to SF, stop making him guard players a seven footer cannot guard, and give the guy a poisition he can play in. Focus his training on rebounding, because there is no doubt the guy can shoot.

Next on the list….Kapono, or as Matt Devlin calls him, J-KILLA! Ive been hearing multiple rumours about this guy getting moved, and again…I dont see why. Sure he’s been streaky, but so was Mo-Pete, and Raptors fans loved Mo-P. Again, this guy was underutilized during the SHATS-era. Kapono is no doubt, one of the premiere shooters in the NBA. My opinion…this guy needs some starts. Kapono should start at SF, and alternate him with Parker when the defensive matchups are a grind, because Parker can handle most of the guys. Graham should follow him as the 7th man, after Bargnani.

Toronto fans should be worried about Bosh leaving….This guy looks like he is unhappy, frustrated, angry and everything else with the way the team is playing. He seems to have lost his drive….literally. He was one of the most successful players early in the season because he made a commitment to drive to the basket, and he’s lost it.

2) I really dont think there will be a authentic NFL experience at the Skydome (damn you Rogers Centre)
- Face it….Toronto is used to losing. Every pro sports team in Toronto has had a new coaching change this past season. Although we are New York Jr., every team plays like the Knicks (For those non sports people, that means we are horrible)
3) No tailgating???
- I was at a Bills game in Buffalo a couple weeks back, and there were like 10 tailgating parties at once. Now in Toronto, they need to be sponsored by big hotshot companies. This takes out all the fun of it

So I decided to get into the realm of blogging. Not sure how long my fascination (if thats what you call it) will last for, but im hoping to get this baby rolling and adding some regular stuff to it. Not sure when my next post will be, but if I can find some intersting stuff….maybe some funny animal videos.
